Abandoned High School

Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania this forgotten building is one of my favorites. I would have enjoyed going back at least one more time. Unfortunately, a fire destroyed a large part of the structure about six months after my visit. The school was built in 1906 and the auditorium was added in 1916. In the late 1980’s students were transitioned to a new facility. The property has been “vacant” since 2002. View on 500px or Flickr.

Amazing that these great places are abandoned. I went to a small private prep school and we did not have as nice of an auditorium. It’s a shame this goes unused.

This is sinful to waste such beautiful architecture.
